What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a relationship between our farm and you as our customer. Rather than simply purchasing food, our customers become “members” of this CSA farm who receive a portion of the farm’s harvest. Our CSA delivery is once a month for five months from June through October. Members are responsible for showing up at the designated pick up location to collect your share of freshly harvested produce. 

What's in a CSA Box?
The items in each monthly share will reflect what’s seasonally available at the farm at that time. You can expect abundant veggies, fruit, and other goodies each month, subject of course to weather, pests, crop failure, the apocalypse, etc.

How much does it cost?
The cost is $150 for the season (5 boxes). You can expect the value of the box to be equal to or better than prices for organic vegetables you might find in a grocery store or food co-op, and reflect a fraction of the love and attention these veggies get. 

Pick up location and dates
For Seattle CSA members, the pick up location will be at Mia and Chris' home in the Madison Valley neighborhood. For Whatcom County CSA members, the pick up location will be at the farm. In past years the pick-up days were pleasant gatherings where CSA members could meet, have a beer together, and throw something on the BBQ or frisbee field. We got 100% positive feedback on this system and plan to keep the pick-up party tradition going!

Whatcom County CSA
Time: between 4-8 pm
Location: 3811 Hatley Rd, Everson
Days: Pick up your veggies on the following Sundays (4-8pm) - June 11, July 9, Aug 6, Sept 10, Oct 8

Our Growing Practices
Small Acres practices organic growing techniques, focusing on the health of the environment and avoiding the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or bio-engineered products. We are nearly 100% solar-powered, use water efficiently with drip irrigation and a smart controller, and make our own compost. Our chickens have free range of the orchard and as many pest larvae and slugs as they can find.
